Data controller and regulatory framework
This information notice, provided pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), describes the management methods of the ThermoKey S.p.a. website regarding the processing of personal data of users who consult it and use its services. The Data Controller is ThermoKey S.p.a., with registered office at Via Dell’Industria n. 1, 33050 Rivarotta di Rivignano Teor (UD), Italy.
Types of Data Processed and Purposes
The processing concerns personal data voluntarily provided by the user and navigation data acquired by the IT systems.
Navigation data: During their normal operation, the IT systems acquire certain data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols (such as IP addresses and domain names). This data is used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to monitor its correct functioning.
Data provided via contact forms: Data entered in request forms (name, company, e-mail) are processed exclusively to respond to the data subject’s requests and for sending quotations or technical information. The legal basis for processing is the execution of pre-contractual measures and the legitimate interest of the Controller; therefore, no separate explicit consent is required for these purposes.
Marketing and Commercial Communications
Subscription to the newsletter service and the sending of marketing communications take place on the basis of the data subject’s optional consent or, in the case of direct subscription through the specific form, through a clear affirmative action manifesting such intent.
In accordance with the principles of simplification, the act of voluntary subscription to the newsletter does not require the signing of further consent forms at the bottom of the page, without prejudice to the user’s right to unsubscribe at any time via the „unsubscribe“ link present in every communication.
Processing Methods and Retention
Processing is carried out through automated tools and paper supports for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected. Data related to technical and commercial requests will be stored for the period necessary to perform the service, while data for marketing purposes will be stored until the withdrawal of consent or the request for erasure by the data subject.
Scope of Data Communication
Personal data collected through the website shall not be disseminated. They may be communicated exclusively to third parties in charge of website maintenance, logistics partners for sending samples or documentation, and professional consultants, always in compliance with the purposes set out above and with the adoption of adequate security measures.
Rights of the Data Subject
Pursuant to Articles 15 et seq. of the GDPR, the data subject has the right to request from the Controller access to their personal data, as well as rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing. Furthermore, the data subject has the right to object to processing for direct marketing purposes and the right to data portability.
